How we do it – the automatic transmission repair process

At Automatico, we offer complete diagnostics, maintenance and repair services for automatic transmissions, regardless of the make and model of your car. Our process is transparent, efficient and carried out by specialized technicians.

STEP 1
Initial Consultation and Assessment

  • We discuss with the customer to understand the gearbox symptoms.
  • We establish a repair estimate, clearly explaining the stages and costs.

STEP 2
Computerized Diagnosis

  • We perform the diagnosis with Launch tester or dedicated testers (Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi, etc.).
  • We identify error codes and possible mechanical or electronic causes.

STEP 3
Dismantling the gearbox

  • We completely dismantle the gearbox to check the internal parts.
  • We assess the condition of the worn components and establish the list of parts that require replacement.

STEP 4
Ecological cleaning

  • We wash the parts with ecological solvents, without affecting the materials.
  • We remove deposits of burnt oil, dust or metal residues.

STEP 5
Cleaning the oil pump

  • We disassemble the oil pump and clean all the paths according to the technical manuals.
  • We ensure that the oil circulation is optimal, preventing future defects.

STEP 6
Hydraulic Block

  • We dismantle the hydraulic block for cleaning and checking the control pistons.
  • We check the correct operation of the valves and the tightness of the system.

STEP 7
Assembly and final test

  • We assemble the gearbox after cleaning.
  • We replace all worn or defective parts with original or equivalent quality parts.
  • We test full functionality before installation on the vehicle.

We offer repair services for a wide range of automatic gearboxes for cars and vans up to 3.5t, such as classic types with planetary reducers and torque converter, CVT with or without converter, DSG/DCT (dual clutch transmission) and hybrid models.
Our specialists are trained to deal with any specific problem.

How long does a gearbox repair take?

The time depends on the complexity of the problem and the availability of parts. In general, repairs take between 7 and 15 business days.
