Maintenance of Automatic Transmissions (Service)

The automatic transmission needs the same attention as the engine — change the oil and filter on time, clean the system and diagnose carefully. At Automatico, we use modern equipment and oils recommended by the manufacturer to ensure that your transmission runs smoothly, efficiently and without unpleasant surprises.

Services offered during automatic transmission overhaul

At Automatico, automatic transmission maintenance does not just mean an oil change, but a complete overhaul, adapted to each type of transmission.

  1. Complete automatic transmission oil change (ATF) – we use modern equipment to replace the entire amount of oil, not just a part.
  2. Filter and gasket replacement – to protect the oil pump and maintain optimal pressure.
  3. Oil bath and magnet cleaning – removing deposits and metal particles resulting from wear.
  4. Computer diagnostics – we check the transmission parameters and read any errors stored in the computer.
  5. Adaptation reset – where necessary, we electronically recalibrate the box to function correctly with the new oil.

When to service your automatic transmission

We recommend servicing every 60,000 km or every 2–3 years, depending on the model and driving style.

Signs that your transmission needs maintenance:

  • gear shifting becomes harder or delayed
  • vibrations or shocks appear when accelerating
  • slipping between gears is felt
  • unusual noises when driving

A periodic check helps you avoid major breakdowns and maintain the pleasure of driving.
